Decals day 1 25/04/13

So when we thought we couldn't do anymore to our labels, Cath introduced us to decals. Cath very kindly screen printed labels of old medicines bottles onto sheets of paper with two layers. You can peel one off, just like stickers. The process being one of the easiest but probably the most effective. You basically choose a label that you wanted to cover, choose a decal to put on it. Cut the decal to size, place in a basin of water for about 30 seconds, peel the back layer off. Place onto the label where you want it, pat dry with some paper towel and push out any excess air bubbles. Put in the kiln for a minute and there you have it, the decals are permanently fixed to the enamel. These are some of the outcomes from today
